Dear Members,
When I was elected as Chairman at the AGM in November 2014 I outlined a few things we hoped to achieve in the coming years. As the Programme states we have a couple of Local History talks which I hope will be found of interest to all. We have received several enquiries about these. We also hope the 50th Anniversary celebration will be well attended and the weather kind to us.
The ‘Friendship’ arrangements with the Municipality of Baigneux-Les-Juifs near Dijon, France is well supported by their Mayor and progressing very well.
The Twitch Inn opened over Easter with the WWI Exhibition on display along with a few more new artefacts. The Outing in June to Cobham Mausoleum and Owletts with lunch at ‘The Leather Bottle’ are processing well and a coach is being arranged.
We attended a couple of Parish Council Meetings. Parking was high on the Agenda, which affects us all, with proposals for additional Yellow Lines. Planning is still a ‘hot potato’ and we continue to be vigilant as to what’s coming down and what’s going up.
We hope to see many of you at our Meetings, if you can make the stairs!
Molly Potts. Chairman

New Year Supper
Thirty members and friends met at Frank’s Restaurant in West Malling on the 16th January for the Annual New Year Supper.
Excellent food and good company made a pleasant evening.
The evening closed with a Raffle, which made £117
Many thanks to you all
Eileen Vago.
