🛠️ What We Do
- Planning & Conservation
We actively review and monitor planning applications across the Malling area to ensure that new developments enhance—rather than compromise—the historic identity of our town.
- The Twitch Inn Heritage Centre
Located in the historic cellar of Douces Manor, we manage the Twitch Inn Heritage Centre. Opened to the public on select days throughout the year, the centre showcases exhibits on West Malling’s rich military, aviation, and local history—including the famed WWII RAF airfield.
- Archives & Collections
We serve as custodians of historic photographs, local documents, and key records—including the renowned Freda Barton Photographic Collection. We warmly welcome gifts and donations of local historic interest.
- Meetings, Talks & Outings
Our members enjoy a regular monthly program featuring expert guest speakers on local history, archaeology, and civic affairs, as well as guided outings to nearby places of interest.
